Here we are going to update you about our latest activity which is....

Local Committee Conference 2 !!!!

On March, 5th-7th 2010, AIESEC LC UNDIP held an event called Local Committee Conference 2 at Griya Familia, Bandungan. This is one of annual activities that must be held when the Management and Executive Board will be soon over. The objective of this Local Committee Conference 2 (LCC 2) was to give a motivation to the member to take the next opportunity in AIESEC, especially to take the higher position (Manager, Executive Board, or OCP) and how to contribute more to AIESEC UNDIP.

What were we doing there?

This 2 days 3 nights LCC 2 was an unforgettable LCC ever. Why? Because that was the first time for AIESEC UNDIP to have an International Chair. It's a big honor for us to welcome Masaru Ashizawa (Member Committee Vice President of Outgoing Exchange AIESEC Indonesia 09/10) for being the Chair during LCC 2.

In the first day, the members had to listen to the pesentation from current Executive Board AIESEC UNDIP 09/10 about current condition update, strategy, planning mapping career, etc. And in the late night, the member held a party to refresh mind after doing a lot activities all day long.

In the second day, same with the first day, that the current Executive Board AIESEC UNDIP 09/10 also gave a presentation, such as about SWOT analysis, OGSM, Balance Score Card, etc. In addition, the alumni of AIESEC UNDIP also gave presentation, they were Gandung Bimananta and Bram Suryo Kusumo. Gandung Bimananta gave a presentation and small simulation about Project Management. He asked to the member to work in a group and pretended that the members would hold a project. Bram Suryo Kusumo gave a presentation about Leadership Attitude. That was an inspiring moment because he motivated the members how to be a good leader with good attitude and behaviour, and also how to achieve dreams. Same with the first day that we finished the day by having a special party. Why special? Because we also held a surprise party for Raditya Jatismara (Manager of Public Relation) who celebrated his birthday. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Raditya Jatismara! All the best for you!"

In the last day, the members didn't have to listen to presentation again, but the members did an outbond games. The objective of this activity was to implement how to work in a team well. This was kinda cool session because all the members were so enthusiastic to play the games. After that, we had inauguration time to the members who had been a full member. In the last session, there was a sharing session, which is all the members can share anything about what the members feel during LCC 2 and also after being an AIESECer. And before we went back to our home in Semarang we had a photo session as the memento with all the members during LCC 2.

Well, that's the update of Local Committee Conference 2, hope that AIESEC UNDIP will born the next leaders after this Local Committee Conference 2 as well

GUARDIAN CAMP PBoX ROAR 2010

Hey AIESEC!!!

Long time no see you guys, how do you feel?
I hope it will be "EXCELLENT"

It is a pleasure to inform you about a report of PBoX ROAR (Project Based on Exchange Red Ribbon Alert) activity, which is GUARDIAN CAMP. GUARDIAN CAMP is two days-one night camp of having new experience about caring to the prevention of HIV/AIDS, it is also one of the activities of PBoX ROAR. On February 27th-28th 2010, PBoX ROAR held GUARDIAN CAMP at Wisma Kemala Bhayangkari, Semarang. This event aimed to educate the participants to have deeper knowledge and aware to HIV/AIDS. So that someday the participants can be guardian of the society.

Who are the speakers?

In the first day, lecturer of Public Health Faculty of Diponegoro University, Mr.Priyadi Nugroho, gave a presentation and knowledge to the participants about HIV/AIDS in general, the causes, and the prevention. The second speaker was Mr.Muhammad Yusuf who presented why the teenagers are susceptible to be infected HIV. And the last speaker was PWHA (people with HIV/AIDS), the PWHA share about the real condition of PWHA who have the same physical characteristic with the normal ones who aren't infected to HIV and the PWHA's effort to struggle their life during infected HIV/AIDS, that was a touchy session.

After the presentation session about HIV/AIDS was over, the participants were given a relaxation session, which is Guardian Corner. Guardian Corner was a session to watch a movie about lifestyle that can effected to HIV/AIDS, entitled "Perempuan Punya Cerita".

The second day was also a cool session. In the morning the participants had a photo session that formed a Red Ribbon (symbol of HIV/AIDS). After that, our Exchange Participant from China, Sylvia, share about HIV/AIDS in China. After that, the last speaker was Mrs.Hastaning Sakti. She gave a presentation about not only HIV/AIDS, but also about a motivation how to implement the knowledge that we've got into reality. She asked the participants to make a group and discussed about what kind of strategy that the participants should do to prevent HIV/AIDS and to give impact to their society. That was a cool session that all of the participants were motivated to give impact to prevent HIV/AIDS.

Okay, that was a report about PBoX ROAR's GUARDIAN CAMP. And we hope that we can break the HIV/AIDS cycle and be aware to the prevention of HIV/AIDS to give an impact to the society.
