Im an AIESECers campaign

“I have helped building international atmosphere.”

“I had the opportunity to develop my leadership skill.”

“I got a valuable experience to sharpen my potentials and to make impacts from them.”

Indra saw in the first place how AIESEC empowers the youth, and saw from close distance how the education system works in Ukraine.

Indra has always wanted to see the world and work with people from different cultures. He always believes that, in this global era, working and interacting with many people from around the world is a must. Especially because he wants to develop his potentials and broaden his knowledge and cultural sensivity.

When Indra was in Ukraine to work as an English teacher, he learnt a lot about English teaching in two different schools. One was a private school, and the other was a language center. These two different types of school gave him knowledge and experiences to develop one of his potentials, which is teaching language. He interacted and cooperated with the local teachers about teaching and education in Ukraine. At the school where he worked, he also got the opportunity to teach angklung, one of Indonesian traditional music instruments, as his desire to promote his motherland’s culture and to create international atmosphere in the places where he worked.

Indra also got involved in many local AIESEC’s activities, especially those related to trainings, team buildings, and cultural events. This role gave him the opportunity to develop his leadership skill, to learn about the local society’s culture, and at the same time helped the AIESEC local committees creating cultural atmosphere, especially for the new members, through many events, conferences, discussions, and trainings.

Indra met many young people with different interests and potentials, but with one similar goal: to develop their potentials and to give positive impacts for the society. His trip to some other cities in Ukraine to meet members of AIESEC local committees and to see the country from a close distance also gave him ideas to write a book about his fabulous life-changing experience when living there for half a year.
