OPEN HOUSE '09

Hi AIESEC!!

on Saturday, December 12th 2009, LC Universitas Diponegoro held an "Open House '09 Let's Get Closer to AIESEC". This Open House was held at Gedung PKK Semarang from 9 am to 1 pm.

Why we held this "Open House '09"?

Well, this event was mainly invited for AIESECers' parents. So, the main purpose why we held this event was to make a same perception about what AIESEC is, to introduce closer about AIESEC to parents, and strengthen a good relationship between AIESEC LC Universitas Diponegoro members, BoAs, and AIESEC member's parents.

This event consists of 2 talkshows:

1. AIESEC in making the member's good characteristic
The speaker of this talkshow was Mrs. Hj. Sri Rahayu Hadi Pranomo (our LCP's mother), Mrs. Dra. Frieda NRH MS (Psychologist), and Nurmia Dwi Agustina (MCVP External Relation AIESEC Indonesia)

Our LCP's mom was telling about the differences between Khaleed's characteristic before he was not an AIESEC member and after he was being an AIESEC member and LCP until now. She told so touchy that Khaleed showed a significant change after he is being an AIESEC member until now. Good job our LCP, Khaleed ! :)

Nurmia Dwi Agustina, MCVP External Relation AIESEC Indonesia, also told her experience during handling AIESEC Indonesia. She told that AIESEC doesn't disturb her study anymore, even AIESEC helps her how to do a lot of duties at the same time well-done.

And, guess what? at the end of talkshow, Khaleed gave a small surprise to his mom! For commemorating Mother's Day in this December, Khaleed gave a white rose to his mom, a symbol of his gratitude since his mom and other mothers in this world have done a good job in caring their children until now. oh, this moment was so touchy that Khaleed's mom dropped her tears. thanks our mom :)

2. Exchange and The Impact to Society
The speaker of this talkshow was Dimas Suryo (Exchange Participant from Universitas Diponegoro to India), La Gusti Negeri (Exchange Participant from Universitas Diponegoro to China), and Mr. M. Tri Prasetyo (Branch Manager of Indosat Solo and founder of AIESEC LC Universitas Diponegoro)

All of them were telling their experience during having an exchange program and the impact that they got after having the exchange program to their selves and then to the society. This talkshow also very interesting that everybody had a big curiosity about EXCHANGE! :D

At the end of talkshow, the Organizing Committee had a call via Skype with Tisa (LCP LC Universitas Diponegoro 2003/2004) who lives in Norway now. She told the audience how AIESEC gave an impact to herself and then to society, and how AIESEC Global Exchange Program gave a life-changing experience to herself. Nice, she was so inspiring us :)

Well, hopefully this post can open our mind about how big the impact of AIESEC and Global Exchange Program to ourselves. That we are created as the next future leader to give positive impact to society

see ya in the next update yaa :) Photobucket

NLDS 2009 AIESEC INDONESIA

Hi AIESEC! what's up!
It's a great day for us to inform you about our next update.. and it is..

NLDS 2009 AIESEC INDONESIA

yeahh.. on December 6th - 9th 2009, most of our newiess and our Vice President of Talent Management (Rima Dewi Pradipta) were attending NLDS 2009 AIESEC INDONESIA in Anjungan Lampung and West Java, Indonesia Miniature Park (TMII) Jakarta. NLDS itself stands for National Leadership and Development Seminar. It was a great seminar because we learnt anything, such as leadership, entrepreneurship, culture, working about AIESEC project, ESQ, and soooo many things.

And what were they doing there?

well, our delegates from UD gathered together with AIESECers from LC UA, LC UI, LC Bandung, LC Surabaya, LC UB, AIESEC expansion, AIESEC Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, China, SriLanka, Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, and Philiphina. Woww, it was a really great 4 days to meet, gather, had a talk, worked, and having fun with more than 150 people from all over the world. The Chair is Gerralyn Wong from AIESEC Malaysia. And our facis were Jennily (MCP Indonesia), Mya (MCVP ER), Cath (MCVP ICX), Masaru (MCVP OGX), Dessy (MCVP Comm), Yamin (LCP UA), Widy (LCP Surabaya), Martin (NST), Shirin (LCP UI), Andina (VP OGX LC UD), Nadya (NST), Gayanga (AIESEC Sri Lanka), Wenny and Lucia (AIESEC Singapore), and Angela (AIESEC Taiwan). wow, we really lived in this beautiful diversity.

Day 1

1. after we arrived in TMII, we were welcomed with roll call performances from all LCs
2. introduction with other delegates in different ways (by playing games)
3. ESQ training from ESQ 165 -ESQ 165 taught us how to be a good leader and be a good prayer who closes to God
4. connection time - time to share about some topics in groups with 5 execuitve boards of AIESEC Indonesia.
5. Transporter games, the girls had to wear the boy's sport clothes, and the boys had to wear the girl's sport clothes.

Day 2
1. after the chair opened the plenary, all LCs were performing their rolldance, and wooow they were so cool, especially faci's rolldance that really happening now
2. we had a global village, it means that we have to introduce and show a performance about our culture
3. and then we had a looooonnngg time to learn about AIESEC knowledge and AIESEC Indonesia in reality
4. "our network" session, it was a time to had a share with AIESEC's alumni, they were really inspiring us.

Day 3
1. Screening the Ficticious Member Committee President (FMCP) candidates. Consists of 12 groups, the 3 candidates of each groups had to deliver a speech in order to be chosen as the one FMCP's representative to go to the next step.
2. "National Entrepreneurship Forum Introduction" session. The speaker was one of AIESEC's alumni. He was so interesting in delivering his knowledge about entrepreneurship, made us on fire yeaaahhh!!!
3. "Training Is Fun" session
4. ACTION TIME session. It was really cool session, because we were acting like the real LCP, VP ICX and VP OGX who doing promotion, raising, and matching TN and EP. so, from that session we know about how ICX and OGX department works in reality.
5. MyAIESEC.net session. It was a session to introduce how to connect by using myaiesec.net.
6. Gala Dinner, wow it was a party to had a dinner with couple from different LC. and guess what? our UD delegate, Gilang Wahyu, was the King of the party. And the Queen was Nadia from LC UA. Congrats Gilang!

Day 4
1. The Final Round of Election Ficticious Member Committee President (FMCP). and the candidates were Dimas Suryo from LC UD, Putri from LC UI, and Nila from LC Surabaya. and, guess what? the next FMCP is Dimas Suryo from LC UD. yeeeaaaahhhh!!! at that time we were so happy and proud of Dimas Suryo. Congrats Dimas!
2. Project Management session, in this session we had to work in a team like we were going to hold an event or PBOX (Project Based On Exchange)
3. Challenging Your Worldview (HIV) session, in this session we act that we were gonna had an HIV/AIDS PBOX.
4. This Is Our Impact, in this session we were getting closer to HIV/AIDS awareness and care with HIV/AIDS. the speaker was the Chair of KPA (Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS)
5. Exchange Promotion session. It was a session to promote GLOBAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM. and we had some roll play on this session about the impact after doing exchange.
6. Personal Goal Setting, this session was the end of the whole activities and it was so touchy. we had to change our mindset and made a plan for 5 years later. that was not only making a plan but it was a promise to ourselves.
7. Before all delegates went home, we altogether were holding hands and made a summary about what we have done during 4 days. at that time, everybody was crying, hugging, and taking photo together. everybody won't be separated, we still wanted to be together and work together at that place and at that time. and our friendship story hasn't over yet..

From NLDS Indonesia 2009, we, all the delegates, made a promise to ourselves, that we will give good impact to others and hand in hand together to make AIESEC Indonesia continously growing up and be the top 5 AIESEC in the world :)

well, that's an unforgettable moment of our journey. hopefully we'll meet again in other stories :)
