Hoi AIESEC!!!
Last week, from 1st - 4th of October 2010, we held a Management Board Conference 2010. AIESEC UNDIP was the host of this National Conference of AIESEC Indonesia. This conference aimed to activate leadership potential of AIESEC Indonesia members in order to create a good leader for the future. The theme of this Management Board Conference is "The Activation of Impactful Leaders".
Located in Vina House, Semarang, 133 youth in AIESEC Indonesia members from Semarang, Jakarta (UI), Malang (Universitas Brawijaya), Surabaya, Bandung, Padang (Universitas Andalas), and expansion team (Universitas Hasanuddin Makassar, London School of Public Relation Jakarta, and IPB) were altogether as delegates. And also AIESECers from Germany, The Philippines, and Estonia joined this conference as delegates, facilitator, and chair.
What did we do there?
1. Day 1
This conference was officially opened at 1 pm in Vina House. The first session was the Opening Plenary, and then continued by "The Compass", "Journey of AIESEC", and then "The Impact". Feeling tired of one day full training and seminar, we held a party about Hawaiian Beach. We did a lot of games at that time.
2. Day 2
The sessions of the 2nd day were "leadership capacity", in this session all of Local Committee Presidents in AIESEC Indonesia explained what's going on in each Local Committee they lead. Continued by session about digital media from Mediatrac. The speaker were Mas Doni and his friend, both are alumni of AIESEC Bandung. In the end of this day, we held a gala dinner. Attended also by representatives of Universitas Diponegoro, Mayor of Semarang, Governor of Semarang, UNICEF, HIPMI, Board of Advisor of AIESEC UNDIP, and sponsors. Not only for expanding network, this gala dinner also aimed to introduce AIESEC to the external who haven't got cooperation with AIESEC.
3. Day 3
The 3rd day of this conference was all about "So, you think you can sell?". This session was brought to the delegates by Firnando Buenayre, Vice President External Relation of AIESEC Indonesia. Continued by Bram Suryo Kusumo, alumnus of AIESEC UNDIP, he shared a lot how his AIESEC experience in the past influence his career now. To close the plenary for the 3rd day, we held a party again about "Futuristic Party". All were dressed up pretended they were in someday in the future, full of glossy and silver. All of Local Committess performed their own roll-dances, because it was dancing competition! :)
4. Day 4
Sari Tobing from Unilever started the first session of thislast day. She shared about brand, CSR (Coorporate Social Responsibility), and marketing skill. Continued by the session from UNICEF. Representative of UNICEF Semarang shared about the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) 2015 and the condition of Indonesia children nowadays.
So, that's all the wrap up of this Management Board Conference 2010. It was a big honor for us to be the host of National Conference of AIESEC Indonesia. Are you ready to be the impactful leaders?
