AIESEC UNDIP - On September 11th 2011 at 11 am, AIESEC LC UNDIP held an event that gathered 300 Semarang people with 18 Japanese people in Parking Lot Sri Ratu Pemuda, which was InJaption (Indonesia - Japan in Action!). This event aimed to increase the awareness of Semarang people about the diversity of the world, share culture between Indonesia & Japan, and broaden the mindset of Semarang people. A lot of performance between Indonesia and Japan culture were showed in this event.

7 booths participated in this event. Booth of AIESEC was the booth to let people get info about AIESEC. Origami booth let people learn about art of flip the paper. Calligraphy booth let people to get Japanese letter (Hiragana and Katakana) of their names. People also could play both Japanese and Indonesian traditional games in Games booth. People can compare between the Japanese real comic and the Indonesian ones in Manga booth. Want to wear traditional Japanese outfit? There was also booth for Photo Session with Japanese outfit. Not only share culture, there was Exhibition booth that can let people to read the real condition of Japan after hit by tsunami and earthquake.

Coming as Study Tour students, 18 Japanese performed also in this event to show their culture, such as dancing Soran-Bushi (dance for fishing), Para-Para (flirting the boys), and singing Japanese songs. 18 Japanese also got new culture from Indonesia with Semarangan Dance and Traditional Song choir. Not to forget we also have Parade Band to let youth in Semarang who interest with Japanese culture performed their band to our friends from Japan. And also Cosplay Competition with 18 Japanese as the judges.

Fahry Maulana as the Organizing Committee President of InJaption said that it's the last event of his series of project. As a closing of his project, he has done several events such as Breakout Youth Camp, Roadshow to High School about HIV/AIDS, Video Making Competition, and Exhibition Day. Hopefully, this last event will give an impact to society for the awareness of making peace through countries.

AIESEC UNDIP - Hundred students were coming to Green Light Army Project Big Road Show at SMA N 1 Semarang

AIESEC UNDIP - On July, 14th 2011  The Green Light Army Project has held a BIG RAODSHOW at SMAN 1 Semarang with the theme was “ The Earth is Our Breath” started at 1pm. This event was aimed to change the mindset of the participants (Junior High School students in Semarang) so that they more concern with the environment and invited them to do simple things to have a major impact.

On the opening, the participant watched together the video about environmental problems. After watching the videos, the participant guided to follow sharing session with the Exchange Participants from the UK , Poland, and China. 

Hopefully through this event students can be more concerned about environment, by taking the first step with their own way to keep the earth saved and comfortable to be lived in.

This project concerns in environment and aims to increase the awareness of people to live in friendly environmental life and care of the earth. Launching PBoX HIV AIDS Red Ribbon Alert 2011

Saturday, February 5^th 2011, AIESEC Local Committee Universitas Diponegoro held seminar and talkshow “Launching PBoX(Project Based on Exchange) Red Ribbon Alert 2011” at Vina House, jl Diponegoro 29 Semarang. The theme of this seminar was “Let’s Save Young People from HIV AIDS through Better Education”, and this event was one of the series of PBoX HIV AIDS Red Ribbon Alert 2011 events.

About 130 participants came to this seminar. We invited students of high schools in Semarang and students of universities in Semarang as our participants; our local partners which were 90,2 TRAX FM Semarang, Hucle, and Hegrid Café; our beloved Board of Advisor; and also national and local media such as 105,2 SS FM Semarang, Kompas, Manunggal, Opini, Berita Kampus, Pro TV, and TV Borobudur.

We had great external speakers that gave awesome experience, Drh Dwi Yanni L, M.Psi (psychologist, veterinarian, and lecturer of Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata), Priyadi Nugraha, S.Km,M.Kes (lecturer of Public Health Faculty UNDIP), Agus Wirawan (Yayasan Harapan Permata Hati Kita Semarang), and we got a great sharing from ODHA (Orang Dengan HIV AIDS) from Semarang Plus. He told about his life, his experience , and also his motivation to keep up and still be a productive human being in his society. And thank you to our beloved BoA, Prof.Ir Eko Budiharjo (former Rector of Universitas Diponegoro) and ibu Cindy (owner of Vina House Semarang) to attend and gave speech in this event.

All the participants were very proactive, not only that they asked many questions, some participants were invited to play a game about HIV AIDS knowledge. The last but not least, sharing of EPs (Exchange Participant) from Nigeria (Onyinye) and from China (Jenny, Doria, Angela, and Fan-fan) about HIV AIDS condition in their country.

We got many knowledge about HIV AIDS that we can’t get in another place from this seminar, what we can do as young people to stop HIV AIDS, how to be young people that can be more respect of ODHA and more aware of HIV AIDS issue, and how to give more positive impact to society by being the young people that have a strong desire to stop AIDS.

Roadshow PBoX ROAR 2011 in SMA 11 Semarang

Hi AIESEC!!!

Since January 20th we've been having Roadshow of PBoX ROAR 2011 (Project Based on eXchange Red Ribbon Alert 2011, project that concerns to HIV/AIDS prevention) to several Senior High Schools in Semarang. This Roadshow aims to socialize them about HIV/AIDS and raise the awareness of highschool students to HIV/AIDS.

SMAN 11 Semarang was the second school which was socialized as a series of Red Ribbon Alert PBoX 2011events. This event was held on Saturday, 22th of January 2011 starting at 11pm-1am at Physics Laboratory of SMAN 11 Semarang.

About 40 students came to this Roadshow, which consists of 1st and 2nd year students. The Roadshow was opened by the MC which were Widya Nur Hidayati and Muhamy Akbar, and then speech from Mrs.Nur as the Headmaster of School, and project introduction by Muhammad Yogi Fajri as Organizing Committee President.

The students asked enthusiastically when some Organizing Committees were explaining about HIV/AIDS. Not only paying attention to the presentation, some students were invited to demonstrate a rollplay about modes of transmission of the virus. There were also pre-test and post test how far their understanding about HIV AIDS.

The last but not least was sharing of EPs (Exchange Participant) from Nigeria (Onyinye) and from China (Jenny) about HIV AIDS condition in their country.

Board of Advisor Meeting

Hey AIESEC UNDIP!!!

On December 18th 2010 we held Board of Advisor Meeting in Seminar Room Economic Faculty Universitas Diponegoro. It was held from 9 am till 2 pm. This Board of Advisor (BoA) Meeting is held once every six month or twice a year. It is aimed to keep the strong relationship between AIESEC UNDIP and our BoA, give the update about AIESEC UNDIP growth to our BoA, and give a great gratitude to our BoA for being nice by giving support and input for the journey of AIESEC UNDIP ahead.

AIESEC UNDIP has seven Advisors, but unfortunately only Drh. Dwiyani L, M.Psi or we call her Oma Yani, Mr. Agung K. Halim and also Drs. M. Iqbal, M.M (the 1^st Local Committee President of AIESEC UNDIP) came to this BoA meeting.

The main objective of this BoA Meeting was reporting update result of each departments from July to December 2010 :

* Doing recruitment for new members
* Held Local Committee Conference I
* Held Exchange Participant Returnee Gathering

* Re-raise with Trax FM as media partner

Then, the next session was MT-TT TN sharing. This session was conducted by Ridwan Ab (Vice President of External Relation) and Risti Merdikawati (Vice President of Incoming Exchange). In this session they shared what is the MT TT TN and the obstacles that occured in AIESEC UNDIP. And this session continued by input or feedback from BoA. And the end of this session is Questions and Answers from the participants to BoA. This session gave an opportunity for the participants to ask or sharing to the BoA.

Local Committee Conference 1

Hey AIESEC!!!

After having new members batch 2010, we held Local Committee Conference 1 (LCC 1) on November 5th, 6th, 7th 2010 in Wisma PLN Semarang. This event was brought to AIESEC members especially for the new members to get closer with AIESEC, develop their leadership potential, and bring them to achieve their vision through AIESEC. Approximately 60 members attended this Local Committee Conference 1 as delegates including Exchange Participants Returnee from UPN Yogyakarta and UNDIP. And this conference was conducted by our MCP of AIESEC Indonesia, Ika Rahmayutari, as the Chair.

What did we do there?

1. Day 1

As the facilitators of this conference, The Executive Board of AIESEC UNDIP 10/11 delivered session about AIESEC knowledge, such as AIESEC Way, AIESEC History, AIESEC Structure, etc. In the end of Day 1, we had a party with Halloween theme, it's aimed to get closer each other between new members and senior ones.

2. Day 2

The facilitators delivered session about the importance of Exchange + Leadership, Project Management, Department Knowledge, and Personal Goal Setting (to know the expectation and career path of new members in AIESEC). We also invited external speakers from Trax FM Semarang who was also the Vice President of OutGoing eXchange AIESEC UNDIP 09/10 (Andina Dwi Kanti). She delivered session about Public Speaking. The Alumni and senior members of AIESEC UNDIP also came and shared their AIESEC experience there in the evening. In the end of Day 2, we had party again with Vintage theme.

3. Day 3

In the last day of Local Committee Conference 1, the facilitators delivered session about mentoring, full membership criteria to the new members. The senior members got new knowledge about how to fill Performance Appraisal, and also "What Kind of Manager am I?" from external speaker which is HUCLE, our Talent Management Partner. We also invited Mas Bimo as the founder of AIESEC UNDIP to share the founder's struggle in establishing AIESEC UNDIP. And the last we had sharing and evaluation of this conference.
